African Mantis (Sphodromantis lioneola)

Size: 6-8 cm

Temperature: 28-30C day / 18-22 night

Humidity: Low, spraying 1x per week is enough

Difficulty Level: Easy

Close relative of Sphodromantis sp. Uganda this species is also fast growing and large, very aggressive eater with no issues with appetite – even nymphs are readily attacking insects that can be twice larger than mantis itself.

So many feeding cultures can be used for rearing of African Mantis – cockroaches, locusts, crickets, meal and morioworms etc.
