First of all, White Herculean Snails are aquatic dwellers and considering their potential shell size they need at least 40 litres aquarium to have optimal minimum.
Besides of it they are very easy to keep – as omnivores they are feeding on debris of animal and plant origin and so they have great potential as clean up crew. But keep in mind that if they will have no food supply they can damage soft leaved plants like Alternanthera, Hygrophila or similar species and sometimes even such plants as Echinodorus. So keep it in mind!
From other side, they are not actively burrowing species, does not damage plants roots usually and also they are always well presented.
B. herculea is live bearing species and can bring up to 100 offspring’s at once, but it occurs 2-3 times per year only. So there is no risk of overcrowding, but be aware that all offspring’s you will have from these snails will have natural brown coloration as white shell is result of polishing.
