Description
Leaves of Indian Almond or Terminalia catappa are extremely useful for any keeper of aquarium fishes, amphibians, invertebrates and many other aquatic animals.
They contains high percentage of flavonoids, saponines, phytosterols and, what is the most important for hobby, tannins. Adding Indian Almond leaves to water helps to lower pH and level of heavy metals, also it provides antiseptic effect that works well against parasites, fungi and bacterial pathogens.
Besides of that leaves can be used as decoration for vivariums and food for isopods, crabs, millipedes, snails and other invertebrates.
