First of all, Black Devil Snails are aquatic dwellers (freshwater and saltwater) and considering their potential shell size they need at least 40 litres aquarium to have optimal minimum.
This species is omnivore, also it has some algae eating abilities, but due to its size and shell weight it is focusing mostly on substrate level. Snails can be kept with peaceful fish species, but avoid to keep it with cichlids, goldfish, loaches and similar temperament fish as well as with crabs or crayfish.
Devil Snails are burrowing and also they need brackish water for reproduction.
