Spirostreptus spec. 1 is one of the best beginner choices as it is easy to keep and breed, so it is great for gaining experience before switching to more difficult species. Also it can live up to 5 years!
These millipedes are feeding on fruits and vegetables, leaf litter, deadwood, yellow lichen and high-protein food (including dead insects and fish flakes) as well as Komodo Jelly Pots (which they really like). Also they need source of calcium and sepia is one of the best choices.
As this species is molting in substrate its layer must be at least 10 cm high. Also the substrate should be a mix of unfertilised top soil, leaf litter (oak leaves are the best) and rotting white wood (do not use conifers as they contains resins).
