Jumping spiders became extremely popular as they are cute and very interactive. Also they are easy to keep, so basically anyone can keep them as pet – thanks to their size they do not need a lot of space.
As these spiders are active hunters that are using their sight they are diurnal and so they need good lightning conditions. Usually they have no issues with their appetite and so they can attack even prey that is 1-1.5 times their size.
Feeding insects can be fruit flies for younger instars and green or blue bottle flies for grown up and adult spiders. Usually it is good enough to provide them with food and water 3-4 times per week.
