Formerly known as Heterometrus petersii this species is pretty popular among keepers as it is large, relatively calm and very easy to keep. Also due to its origin it is preferring to live in more humid environment in comparison to many other scorpions.

Life span of Asian Forest Scorpion is 7-8 years although some specimens may live till 20 years.

Feeding is very easy – scorpions are feeding on almost any insect of appropriate size, including crickets, morio worms, locusts etc.
