Another Heterometrus species – popular among keepers as well as it is large, relatively calm and very easy to keep. Also it is considered as communal species and so several scorpions can be kept together, but as they are predators there always will be a chance of cannibalism.

Feeding is very easy – scorpions are feeding on almost any insect of appropriate size, including crickets, morio worms, locusts etc. Do not feed them with large insects as they might be stressed – prey must be smaller than scorpion so it can deal with easily (example: adult scorpion should get an adult cricket with size of 2-2.5cm).

Life span of Vietnam Forest Scorpion is up to 10 years.
